Country Casual Golden Sealer

Who Should Use Country Casual Golden Sealer?

Golden Sealer teak sealer is the ideal product for anyone trying to maintain the golden blonde color of new teak wood. Teak sealer was designed by Country Casual primarily for use with teak outdoor furniture, and prevents furniture left outdoors from weathering to a silver / gray color.

How Much Should I Use?

For new teak, use 1 liter to cover two coats on a mid-size dining table and chair set; choose 3 liters for larger jobs. An initial two-coat application and a single re-coat of the teak sealer on dry furniture at yearly intervals will preserve the new-teak color (some climates may require more frequent applications). With an indefinite shelf life, leftover Golden Sealer can be used for future applications.

What If My Furniture Isn't new?

Country Casual offers a full range of products to make caring for your teak furniture as simple and easy as possible. To refurbish weathered teak, first clean furniture with Teak Cleaner and then apply Golden Sealer. Weathered teak will require more Golden Sealer than new teak.

How do I apply Teak Sealer?

Teak sealer can be applied to new or newly cleaned teak with a rag or application brush. Country Casual also offers a Utility Kit which can be used to apply any of our teak care products.

Country Casual Two-Part Teak Cleaner

Who Should Use Two-Part Teak Deep Cleaner?

Country Casual Two-Part Cleaner is the most thorough way to deep clean teak furniture. The Two-Part cleaner is solvent-based and requires a two step application and cleaning process, and is designed to deeply clean teak wood furniture that our standard teak cleaner cannot.

Country Casual Two-Part Cleaner will restore wood to a light blonde color. Further, any dirt, oil, mildew, previous sealers, glosses, mold or stains will be removed. The original color will be restored to a like-new teak tone regardless of the current condition of the teak.

What’s the difference between Teak Cleaner and Two-Part Teak Cleaner?

Teak Cleaner is a water-based product intended to clean teak furniture and restore it to its original blonde color with one easy cleaning process. It will remove moderate weathering and graying if furniture has been cleaned in the past few years. Teak cleaner is great for annual or semi-annual cleaning of teak to maintain aesthetics, and should be used on dirty or weathering teak furniture before other teak sealers or glosses, such as Golden Sealer or Clear Coat Gloss, are applied.

Country Casual Two-Part Cleaner is a solvent-based deep cleaner designed to thoroughly remove or strip dirt, oil, stains and graying from severely weathered teak. This two-part process will lighten and brighten wood, and is recommended for furniture that hasn’t been regularly maintained for several years.

How much Two-Part Cleaner should I use?

Use 1 quart of Two-Part Cleaner to clean a medium-sized dining table or 2 benches.

How do I apply Two-Part Cleaner?

Apply part 1 and scrub with a coarse sponge or soft nylon brush. More vigorous scrubbing removes more of the below surface dirt. Apply part 2 and scrub again. Repeat if necessary.

Clean Teak Furniture With Country Casual Teak Furniture Cleaner

Who Should Use Teak Cleaner?

Teak Cleaner is an ideal product for refurbishing teak furniture. Teak cleaner is designed to remove dirt, oil, and mildew, as well as remove any stains caused by water or condensation, food or drink spillage, and weathering. Teak cleaner will also remove light to moderate graying of teak that naturally occurs over time. To restore furniture that is severely dirty or weathered, or to remove prior finishes, choose Two-Part Teak Cleaner.

Teak cleaner is great for annual or semi-annual cleaning of teak to maintain aesthetics, and should be used on dirty or weathering teak furniture before other teak sealers or glosses, such as Golden Sealer or Clear Coat Gloss, are applied.

I want to clean my teak furniture while maintaining the silver appearance. What should I do?

To clean teak furniture while maintaining the silver gray look, occasionally wash with warm, soapy water removes moss and dirt. For extra cleaning power, add Simple Green. This non-toxic all-purpose cleaner can be found in most hardware stores and cleans the surface of teak without disturbing the silvery gray aesthetic. We do not recommend power-washing teak wood, regardless being new or weathered, as it may damage the wood.

How much Teak Cleaner should I use?

Amount needed will vary depending on degree of dirt and stains. Generally a 1 liter bottle of teak cleaner is enough to clean a mid-sized dining table and chair set.

How do I apply Teak Cleaner?

Apply teak cleaner with a sponge or spray bottle. Scrub with a soft nylon brush or coarse sponge (supplied). Country Casual also offers a Utility Kit which can be used to apply any of our teak care products.

Teak Clear Coat Gloss

Who Should Use Clear Coat Gloss?

Teak Clear Coat Gloss is ideal for adding a darker, glossy finish to treated or sealed teak furniture to provide added protection against water marks and other stains. Country Casual designed Clear Coat Gloss to be used with teak furniture, specifically teak dining furniture and teak lounge furniture as it prevents stains caused by food and drink.

Clear Coat Gloss should be applied to furniture that has been treated with Golden Sealer teak sealer. To protect untreated or unsealed furniture against water and stains, use Teak Water & Stain Guard.

How Much Should I Use?

Use 1 quart for two thin coats on a mid-size dining table and chair set; choose 1 gallon for larger jobs. For best results, reapply when droplets of water fail to bead-up on the surface.

How Do I Apply Clear Coat Gloss?

Teak Clear Coat Gloss should only be applied as a top coat over thoroughly dry Golden Sealer with a brush. Clean brush with mineral spirits. Country Casual also offers a Utility Kit which can be used to apply any of our teak care products.

Protect Your Silver Teak Furniture with Silver Teak Shield

Who Should Use Silver Teak Shield?

Silver Teak Shield is ideal for inhibiting mold, mildew and discoloration while allowing teak to weather naturally to a soft, silvery gray patina. Also, Silver Teak Shield can be used on newly cleaned, weathered teak to prevent future mold and mildew.

Silver Teak Shield does not accelerate the weathering process of teak wood. Teak is a premium outdoor hardwood that will naturally turn from a blonde color to a silver gray without damaging, warping or cracking. Silver Teak Shield simply allows this process to happen naturally while protecting the wood against mold and mildew that naturally accumulate when teak is exposed to the elements.

How Much Should I Use?

Use 1 liter to cover two coats on a mid-size dining table and chair set; choose 3 liters for larger jobs. With an indefinite shelf life, leftover Silver Teak Shield can be used for future applications.

How Do I Apply Silver Teak Shield?

Silver Teak Shield can be applied to new teak that has been outdoors to weather for two weeks, or to recently cleaned teak. To clean weathered teak while retaining the silver gray look, occasionally wash with warm, soapy water to remove moss and dirt.

Once furniture has been cleaned and any dirt, mold, or mildew removed, Silver Teak Shield can easily be applied using a cloth (provided) or brush. Only soap and water are needed for brush cleanup after application is complete. Country Casual’s teak cleaning Utility Kit can be used with any of our care and cleaning products.

Protect Teak Furniture Against Stains with Teak Water and Stain Gaurd

Who Should Use Teak Water & Stain Guard

Teak Water and Stain Guard is ideal for protecting untreated, natural teak outdoor furniture from food and drink spills. Water and stain guard will prevent water damage and stains from drink condensation, spills, and glass rings. The Teak Water & Stain Guard was designed for use on teak outdoor furniture, specifically teak tables and teak dining and lounge chairs. Use on untreated and unsealed teak so that stain protection can adhere to the surface of the wood. If Golden Sealer has already been applied, use Clear Coat Gloss to protect against water and food stains.

How Much Should I Use?

Use one liter for several applications on a mid-sized dining set. For best results, reapply a few times per year or when droplets of water fail to bead-up on the surface. Teak Water & Stain Guard has an indefinite shelf life and leftover can be used for future applications.

How Do I Remove Existing Water Rings & Water Stains?

Use Country Casual Teak Cleaner to remove existing water stains, dirt, oil, and light graying. Use Country Casual Two-Part Cleaner to remove heavy weathering and old sealers. Newly cleaned teak furniture can be protected with Teak Water & Stain Guard to protect against future stains.

How Do I Apply Teak Water & Stain Guard?

Teak Water and Stain Guard can be applied to new or newly cleaned teak with a cloth (provided) or application brush. Only soap and water are needed for brush cleanup after application is complete. Country Casual also offers a Utility Kit which can be used to apply any of our teak care products.

Caring For Teak Outdoor Furniture

Country Casual Offers Several Options For Cleaning, Sealing, and Protecting Teak Furniture

Teak (Tectona grandis) is an immensely stable timber, dense in nature, ideal for garden furniture. Natural teak timber varies widely in color from soft, even blonde to rich patterns of golden amber and deep brown. When the furniture is outdoors and untreated, the sun and rain will change all colors to an even, warm, silvery gray. Exceptionally strong and durable, remaining smooth to the touch, immune to warp and rot, teak furnishings last for decades through bright sun, rain, snow and a wide range of seasonal temperatures without any care. Teak requires no preservatives - we offer a variety of products for other aesthetic options.
